Description of ENAP’s Scope:
SEQ Water is one of Australia’s largest water businesses with the most geographically spread and diverse asset base of any capital city water authority. They have become a familiar repeat client for ENAP, who have completed several projects for the utilities company across Queensland.
This project located at Mudgeeraba encompassed a facilities refurbishment, including the replacement of existing roof and associated eaves linings. A critical component of the project was the removal and disposal of the asbestos linings. This stage of the project required intensive supervision and management as the site had adjacent drinking water pits, which were live and critical for the supply of drinking water to the Gold Coast. Due to the high sensitivity of the water quality during the works, ENAP developed and installed an encapsulated tarpaulin and scaffold system to enable works to proceed without any disruption or consequence to the water quality through the duration of the project.
Clear and precise communication processes with the operational staff ensured the commissioning and handover of the newly refurbished facility was successfully completed without interference to the day-to-day activities of the client.
